    ADVANTAGES

    Advantages of Silicone Compression Molding

    • Cost-effective for Small Production Runs
The cost of molding tool and setting up a compression molding press is lower than the injection molding.
    • Complex Geometries are Possible
Compression molding can handle intricate geometries like metal-designed parts. This simple process of compressing heated materials can easily convert most objects designed for metals into compression mold part.

    The Silicone Material Advantages

    • Silicone at Extreme Temperatures
Silicon rubber retains stablity and flexibility even at extreme high and low temperatures. This capability makes silicone material a reliable choice for parts with extreme temperature requirements.
    • Tensile Strength
Silicone exhibits a high tensile strength which can still be modified during the manufacturing material preparation.
    • Low Resistance to Chemicals
Silicone has excellent resistant properties to many chemicals such as acids, oil, water, fungus, etc.
    • Non-toxic and Sterilization Abilities
FDA-approved quality rubber is used for many consumer and medical devices. This rubber can withstand many sterilization methods like boiling, steam autoclaving, electro beams, gamma radiations etc.
    • Versatility
Silicone is easy to customize as per requirement. It can be manufactured in translucent or different colors. It can also be adjusted to obtain water and temperature resistance.
    • Resistance to UV and Radiation
Silicone remains stable even for a prolonged and repeated exposures to ultraviolet light and radiation.
